CAR.L.L.: An LLM Agent for Physiologic Inversion
The CAR.L.L. team aims to provide patients and clinicians with a physiological snapshot of the patient’s cardiovascular health by developing a neural network-powered personalized model of each patient’s cardiovascular system.
-
Dynamics of Molecular Ensembles (DOME): Multiscale Investigation of Biomolecular Condensates in Biology and Disease
The DOME team seeks to understand the formation and function of an exciting but understudied class of dynamic biomolecular structures implicated in diseases such as cancer, neurodegeneration, and Type 2 diabetes.

IMPACT: Immunoengineering Microgravity Platform for Accessible Cell-based Therapies
CAR-T cells are drawing significant attention for their promise of improving patient outcomes; however, these therapies are time- and cost-intensive to produce. By studying the mechanical and gravitational forces on immune cells, this team will uncover what is required to accelerate the engineering of these promising cell types into therapies for rare cancers.
-
Uncovering Cancer Matrix Mechano-dynamics as a Druggable Treatment Paradigm
This cross-disciplinary team aims to engineer new, adaptable materials that allow researchers to better recreate the environment around cancerous tumors in a lab setting. These models will help to predict how changes in the environment around tumors affect disease progression and metastasis.

Notre Dame Serving Community Analytical Needs (ND-SCAN)
This group of investigators is developing sensor technologies that healthcare providers, law enforcement, and harm reduction groups can use in the field to quickly and accurately identify high-potency synthetic opioids, cannabinoids, and other psychoactive substances in complex mixtures.
-
Notre Dame Biothreat Surveillance, Containment & Operational Preparedness Engine (ND-BIOSCOPE)
ND-BIOSCOPE is tackling emerging pathogenic threats by enhancing early warning systems and accelerating countermeasures through the integration of cutting-edge sensor technologies, real-time genomic sequencing, and machine learning-driven analytics.
-
Health Data and Analytics Challenge (HDAC)
HDAC provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to analyze real-world datasets, detect population health differences, identify gaps in access that may affect health outcomes, and recommend possible interventions to improve health and the quality of services in various communities.
