Consultation & Training

Interested users should begin by contacting Scientific Director Krishna Shivakumar to discuss project scope and goals (cryo@nd.edu | 574-631-3023). In most cases, project suitability for cryo-EM is initially evaluated via negative staining grid screening using the Talos F200i TEM located at the Notre Dame Integrated Imaging Facility (NDIIF) on the lower level of Stinson-Remick Hall. NDIIF works in close partnership with the Cryo-TEM Core Facility to help users navigate appropriate research methods.

Initial consultations also determine project complexity and user experience to select the appropriate training package:

· Training Package for New Users: Designed for individuals with no prior Cryo-EM experience.

· Training Package for Experienced Users: Designed for individuals with prior Cryo-EM background.
